When I use a grading rubric, I assign a grade (score). Why doesn't that grade (score) get automatically transferred to the grading box? It sure would make grading faster!

There's a small box underneath the last criteria -- Use this rubric for assignment grading. When that box is checked, the score that you enter on the rubric should jump to the score box at the top of the SpeedGrader screen.

Just to confirm, are you looking at the area described in the section "Select Rubric Settings" of this Guide: How do I add a rubric to an assignment? - Instructure Community. As @KristinL had mentioned above, you would be looking for the checkbox for "Use this rubric for assignment grading". Keep us posted...thanks!
