[ARCHIVED] How can small student groups have access to each others documents to provide commentary?

I'd like students to collaborate on/workshop their creative writing pieces. I've put them into groups of 3, but I think that if I use "Collaborate" they will only be able to see one of their documents. How can I best set it up so they can respond to documents from the other group members?

You are correct that only people added to a document using collaborate will have access to it.  I have a couple of ideas.

1. Use collaborate with just groups of 3, but then ask the group to post a summary to a class discussion where it can be talked about with the entire class.  This works good to keep the initial work in small groups but then open it up.

2.  Use collaborate but invite everyone in the class to each document.  I'm thinking you name each document like "SallySteveJessie" so everyone know which document is theirs to work on, but by adding everyone to each document they all have the ability to look and see what everyone else is doing.

Thanks, Rick. Although this doesn't really help for the situation I asked about, it provided a great idea for me to use Collaboration as an alternative to Discussion for my FYE classes!

I think I am just going to try to use groups in a regular assignment for workshopping my creative writing pieces.
