PowerPoint isn't exactly a graphics editing program. It's software made to create presentations. If you want to put buttons within content pages of your course, you need to save those image buttons to your computer as either *.jpg, *.png, or *.gif files (these are the most common). Then, you can upload these images to your content pages in Canvas and create links to other parts of your course or other outside websites entirely. There are many websites that allow you to create buttons online...and a popular one is:
