[ARCHIVED] How do I remove MYSELF as an observer in a course?

I know how to put a course so that it is not in  my dashboard, but I want to be removed from a course where a colleague chose to set me up as an observer and will not respond to my requests to be removed. There has to be a way I can remove myself?!????

I'm sorry that this question has been unanswered for so long. Depending on your institution's permissions, you are likely unable to do so. I would recommend reaching out to your local Canvas Admin or using the Help option to create a ticket that would go to your Canvas Support team. How do I get help with Canvas as an observer? 

Alternatively, you could turn off all notifications for just that course. That way, if there is a small chance that you'd return for content, you could still do so!
