[ARCHIVED] How do I share information with half of my class in Canvas so the other half can't see it?

I teach Psychology and I want to give one half of my class one scenario to consider, and the other half a slightly different variation of the same scenario to consider. The key is, I don't want students in one group to see what the students in the other group are seeing. 

Ideally I would use Google Forms to collect the information so I could share the results with my class, but you can't use an External Tool with the Groups function in Canvas. 

Any suggestions? I'm very frustrated. This would be simple with Google Classroom as I would just distribute two separate Google Forms. Thanks.
