[ARCHIVED] How do I sign up as a student instead of a teacher?

I enrolled as a teacher and need to change it to a student.

This is a permission available without your own institution only. I suggest contacting your Canvas Administrator/IT department for help.

 @lynn_pesicka , greetings! Unless you signed up for Canvas free for teachers - where you sign up for a specific role - your role in Canvas is determined by the courses you are enrolled in at your Institution. What this means is that you can be both a teacher in one course and a student in a different course. All with the same account.
