I have read many of the threads about this topic. The solution seems to be using a different cloud based storage in order to embed a URL to Canvas that automatically opens up. Or provide a hyperlink that can enable a download that can open to be viewed and most importantly heard. It sort of defeats to point to pay in the neighborhood of $15,000 for Canvas the first year only to have to subscribe to external cloud storage that allows HTML5 or SCORM to simply link to Canvas. That is a flimsy solution. Copyrighted work can't be protected and the added expense and step seems unnecessary. So when I get audited by a national board that requires analytic data as to how much time a student spent in a particular training for licensure, there is no usable data since the student was technically navigating a different program. Canvas is where they log in or log out but not where they get the content. But of course I can purchase the pro version of the cloud based service like iSpring so they can enable analytics. I just want narration on slides. Let me know what you suggest. Thanks.
