[ARCHIVED] How do you attach pictures on Canvas?

I am a Para working with many students and I have run into a question that I do not know how to answer. How do you post a picture onto canvas? Teachers are requiring students to post the pictures for credit of the work and I don't know how to assist them im doing it. Can you please help me.

Hi,  @lholbrook  Welcome to the Canvas Community! The definitive answer to the question depends on how the teacher has set up the requirement: are teachers using discussions, or assignments, or something else? Students can attach image files to discussion replies or can embed them directly in the response; if a teacher has set up an online assignment, students can upload images directly to the assignment submission interface to complete the assignment—although only the student and the teacher will be able to see images uploaded in this fashion.
