Hello,  @shill15  Welcome to the Canvas Community! Canvas currently has two different versions of the Rich Content Editor (RCE), so depending on which one your school has enabled, here are the general instructions.

How do I embed images from Canvas into the Rich Content Editor as a student? 

How do I upload and embed an image in the New Rich Content Editor as a student? 

The RCE is available in discussions, discussion replies, text entry assignment submissions, and many other places throughout Canvas.
