That depends on what type of assignment it is, what settings are used on the assignment, and perhaps what your notifications preferences are set to. If the instructor has to manually intervene to grade or release a grade, then it depends on the instructor. There may be some cases where the instructor thinks the students can see the grades, but the options within Canvas have changed, and they cannot.
