Could you please provide some more details?  I'm a little confused on the need to embed a quiz within a page.  Are you wanting to display some text to students and then ask some questions about what they have just read?  Some other scenario?

If your school has enabled New Quizzes, you could potentially create a quiz question using this method:

How do I insert stimulus content in New Quizzes? - Instructure Community (canvaslms.com)

But, I'm not sure if this is exactly what you are looking for.

I have the same question here as KristinL. The reason I want to embed a canvas quiz in a canvas page is that I'm trying to find a workaround for pre-scheduling quizzes to publish on the day they are needed, rather than having them visible at the beginning of the term. Or having to go in every day and remembering to publish them for every class. I figured if I could embed each quiz in a page, I could schedule the publishing of that page and have the quiz appear on the day I need it. I know that I can link to a quiz via a page, but I wanted something more elegant that looks like I'm opening directly to the quiz.

Basically, I don't want students to see a quiz in canvas until the day they need to access the quiz.

I wish that Canvas would allow delay posting/publishing for quizzes, as they do with pages and announcements. It would make my daily teaching life so much easier if I could front-load all of the scheduling of publishing at the beginning of each term.
