[ARCHIVED] How to Organize Google Analytics by College

Has anyone used Google Analytics for Canvas to filter the data by college? We want to filter the data for our university by the college of engineering, education, nursing etc. Would I do this through a dashboard or subaccount? I'm brand new to Google Analytics, so any feedback would be much appreciated! cfs0002

You likely wouldn't get that data with a standard implementation of Google, but it is possible through a Google Analytics custom dimension. As long as the data is available somewhere to be captured you can bring it into Google Analytics and from there you can slice and dice the data any way you want! 

Depending on your Google Analytics setup, there is some information on using custom dimensions at Google Analytics Custom Dimensions through Google Tag Manager.
