I have a Canvas course with multiple sections with names in the format of [Course Name][Section Number]. The course name is the same for all sections.
When I filter them in Speedgrader to grade a specific section the order they are in is totally random, even though they show in the correct order in the "Sections" tab in settings.
Is there a way to order the sections in Speedgrader numerically?

@TEagle Thank you for reaching out to our community! Sections are filtered in the same order they show up in under settings > sections. At this time, you can not filter them numerically or adjust the order they show up in the grade book. If you would like to make a suggestion on this topic, you can provide feedback on our Ideas page.
@TEagle -
I do not use speed graders with sections that are created in a course; however, one thought I had is that the sections were created in a random order. That is instead of section 1 first then 2 then 3, you created the sections as 4, 1 , 2 and 3. I am not sure why you would do the creation that way, but I was thinking that would create an id number that Canvas uses for accessing those sections and you are seeing the sorting off of that number and not the name.
I have been dealing with students too long because I see analogous actions by students like that all the time

The sections do not appear in the same order as they do under settings. We have a course with 60 sections and they are all mixed together. We need to know how to address this.
Just for clarification, how were these sections created? Were they crosslisted into one course? Or was this one big course that had sections created in it?
I have a small sample size (compared to yours) with 4 courses that are cross listed. As it turns out, the parent course for my cross-listing is shown at the bottom of the section list. The other courses are listed in the order I cross listed them.
I am not sure what happens if you just create sections. I would think they would show up in the order created.

The sessions were created through the SIS Import process. The sections were then crosslisted into the parent course manually. They were added numerically so they should be in order. They were displayed in the correct order until last week. Not sure if an update caused the change or what the issue might be.
