Does anyone know how it is possible to make assignments visible to students? The Assignments button on the left banner is marked "disabled", "not visible to students".
Furthermore, I have created some assignments. Students can read the instructions, but don't find a place to submit within Canvas.

Hi @gunnaros . To control which links appear on the course navigation menu on the left, go to Settings then change to the Navigation tab where you will see a list of all the available tools. The items in the bottom part of the list are hidden from students. To make an item visible, drag it to the top part of the list. See this page for full details: How do I manage Course Navigation links?
If the students can get to the assignment but don't see the submit button, there are few things you can check in the assignment settings:
Is the submission type set to "Online"? If it's set to "No submission" or "On paper" then students won't be prompted to submit.
Does it have "Available from" and "until" dates set? If it's set to be available within a specific date range, students won't be able to submit outside of those dates.
Does it have anything in the "Assign to" box? This would normally say "Everyone" if you want the whole class to submit, or you could release it to a specific set of students. Students not listed in that box won't be able to submit to the assignment.
If all the settings look correct but students still can't submit, it's worth logging a ticket with Instructure support via the help menu so they can check if there are any problems with the assignment.
