[ARCHIVED] I cannot weight the grades of assignment groups

I want to weight assignment groups in the gradebook. The canvas guide shows that I can do that when I create the Assignment Group, in the same box where I give it a name.

My Canvas page does not show the box which permits a weight to be given to each group, it only shows the name.What do I do.

Hope all is well. Thank you for sharing your question with us.

How do I weight the final course grade based on assignment groups? 

After you create the group (after naming it), then you create the weights. At the very top of the page to the right [to the right of "+Group" and "+Assignment", there is a kabob (three vertical dots) for "assignment settings." Click on that kabob, then click "assignments group weight" then you mark the box "Weight final grade based on assignment groups" and then it will show you the boxes to enter the percentages.

Having the same problem, once the group is created, no place to add the weight.  In the upper right hand corner where the +Group +Assignment is there is not kabob or setting wheel.
