What is build?  How to get my quiz out of Build mode?

Hi  @tgambler ‌, 

Thanks for posting your question! I just looked through our New Quizzes guides only to find that we've got a hole in the documentation! 

The Build page is where you can add and modify questions in your quiz and select quiz settings. When you're building a quiz in New Quizzes, you can return to to the Quizzes index page (where you'll see a whole big list of all your course quizzes) by clicking the Return button.

Hopefully this helps answer your questions. If you have any other questions about using New Quizzes, check out the New Quizzes chapter in the Canvas Instructor Guides. You can always post questions and request clarification as a comment in the guides, too.

In my case I migrated quizzes from a previous semester and for some reason one of them is in Build and is not visible to students.  My question is how to get the quiz from Build to where students can see it and answer it.  Thanks!

Good morning, @RobertSimmons ...

On the editing page of the New Quiz (even before you go into the "Build" page to start creating/editing your quiz), next to the "Build" button is a "Save & Publish" button...as shown under the heading "Save Quiz" of this Guide: How do I create a quiz using New Quizzes? - Instructure Community (canvaslms.com).  If you are already within the New Quiz, click on the "Return" button at the top of the screen, and that should get you back to the screen where you can "Save & Publish".  That's how students will see your New Quiz.  Hope this helps.
