Hi, I'd like to get your input on which image hosting sites are best to use for Canvas. We used Flickr before but it turns out we cannot host our own image and use the link to our courses. Flickr terminated our account so a great number of courses is affected and not showing images at the moment.

Does Canvas have a server that we can use to save our images and share those images in different courses?

I don't have a recommendation for a server, but Canvas is not set up to share files between courses. Within Canvas, the images would need to be inside the course so that students in that course have access to them.

You could potentially put them into a course that allows public access, but then when you run the link checker on them, they will come back with warnings about being in a different course. You also won't be able to add content to course easily as it won't pull up a list of content from the "shared" course so that you can add it.

Thanks for your input @James. I did try to put our image on a per course basis but it takes time to load, that's why we hosted the images somewhere else. Also, the instance of shared images in Canvas sounds a bit complicated. I'm trying to make it easier for us to manage the images as well.
