Hello!
I know you can upload grades via the CSV and import option, but is there a way to import comments from a CSV file for an assignment?
Thanks!
Solved! Go to Solution.
You can add comments using the API, so if you use the API, or have a someone who does, you could write something to read the CSV file and add the comments to the assignment submissions.
Hello @joannal_lau ...
There's nothing that I'm aware of on the front-end of Canvas that would allow you to import comments in this way. However, I am going to share your question with the Canvas Developersā group here in the Canvas Community in hopes that your question will get some additional exposure. If you are not following this group, please use the link that I have provided and then click on the "Follow" button at the top right corner of the screen. Also, there's a link for "Actions" near that "Follow" button. Click on "Actions", and then choose "Join group". I hope all of this will be of help to you! Good luck!

Hi Peter, I can see that it has been on Canvas's radar since 2015. I am not aware of using API's, but it would be great if it was already incorporated into Canvas.
Thanks!
The folks at OIT Colorado-Boulder have created a Tampermonkey script that does this. See "Comments Importer" on their Canvas Enhancements page.
