[ARCHIVED] Inviting Students is not working

I am an instructor and I am trying to develop a program on Canvas. I have added myself as a student using my personal email address. However, I have not been invited to the program. I am wondering how to add students and send out the invite to the canvas. Like I said I have added myself as a student but it still says pending. I know how to add the students but it looks like it didn't send an invite to my email address. Is my course not published? It is published when I look at it I have published the content. Not sure what is going on and if I don't figure it out then I will turn to another online course. Thanks
