The Community has seen many questions similar to this. Unfortunately, the embedded content in Canvas Student does not support the hyperlinked content. However, it works as designed when visited through a mobile browser or desktop browser. It's an unfortunate limitation of how the embedding works within the Canvas Student app.
My suggestion would be to link directly to the Google Slide presentation (the publish to the web link, not the editing link). I would also suggest you Report a Problem through the app as well: How do I get help with Canvas as an instructor?
