I have designed a course which takes place during the whole year and improves the students academic skills (e.g. Academic writing in English). Assignments for this course are linked to the ones of other courses. So for example the course Philosophy requires the students to write and turn in an essay, which will then also have to be turned in in the academic skills course to grade the level of academic English. Would it be possible to create one assignment that is linked to both courses? It would be nice if the students can upload the essay once in the Philosophy course, and that the uploaded essay would automatically also appear in the Academic skill course.
Hello there, @Sophie10 ...
Assignments are tied to the course itself. There's no connection that I am aware of where you could have students submit an assignment in one course and it is also automatically submitted in another course.
When people have questions about linking content in one course to another, I typically do not recommend this...because more than likely students in course "A" are not also enrolled in course "B". So, if in course "A" you had a link to a page in course "B", when students click on that link, they would probably get an error message because students in course "A" aren't also enrolled in course "B". But, if students are enrolled in both course "A" and "B", then that link would work.
I hope this information will be of help to you. Sing out if you have any other questions about this...thanks!
Thank you for you elaborate answer!
