We have an instructor who is having trouble grading a specific assignment.
The excel file students are submitting is quite large (LxW) and it seems to cause canavs to freeze in the preview stage when the instructor goes to grade the assignment - leaving them unable to download it to grade as the screen freezes.
Is it at all possible to turn off this preview feature to avoid this?
Thank you!

Hi Shelby Gravley,
Your instructor can download all the assignment submissions from the assignment and look at them outside of Canvas. And then use the gradebook to enter the scores and never go into SpeedGrader for that assignment.
Hope that helps,

Thank you so much! This is so helpful.
This solution does not work if you are using a Rubric for grading. Previewing Excel files in Canvas is basically broken. Please provide an option to use Speedgrader allowing file previews to be disabled.
