Hi, I serve in my church's school as an instructor.
I'm trying to make a Spiritual Gifts Test for my church which would display results based on what people answer.
There would be some charts, personalized texts based on answers, just like a personality test.
I did make one using google forms, sheets and docs (which generates a pdf file), they're all linked together, but I'd like to integrate it to canvas since we already use it in our school.
I'd also need to have access to those answers and apply some formulas to present the results.
Could anyone please tell me if this is possible? And if so, how should I proceed?
Hi there, @derorglobal ...
That's a really cool idea! I like how you are trying to incorporate a Spiritual Gifts Test into Canvas. Unfortunately, I don't think it will be possible to accomplish what you are wanting to do. The Quizzes feature of Canvas is usually used for quizzes/tests/exams where there are right/wrong answers, and you get points for correct responses. In Classic Quizzes, you can also create surveys, but I'm not sure if that would totally meet your needs. You can always select the type of immediate feedback a student would get from the test, but it's not going to necessarily show charts or personalized text based on how they answered questions. It's just going to show the results of the quiz along with the correct/incorrect answers...if that's what you choose to show them after taking the test.
You might continue to explore options with Google Docs...maybe even a Google Form where you could collect the responses. Form responses are then compiled in a Google Spreadsheet, and you might be able to make some real-time charts based off of the test questions that could be embedded back in Canvas.
I hope this will be of some help to you. Let Community members know if you have any other questions about this...thanks! Take care...be well.
