[ARCHIVED] Is there a way to sync assignments to another gradebook as missing?

First is there a way to quickly mark missing assignments as such?  Right now, I am going through and marking all the blanks in my gradebook as missing one by one and it's a bit time consuming.  

Secondly I was forced to tell Canvas what percentage a Missing should have, so I put zero.  I thought about putting fifty percent (so missing assignments don't  completely tank a grade) but I need a way to communicate with parents and students that shows them automatically that they haven't turned assignments in.  If they see 50%, they'll assume they just got a bad grade.

Anyhow, the biggest problem seems to be when Canvas syncs to our district's gradebook on Infinite Campus.  It isn't flagged as missing in IC which is a problem because when we run reports on kids it looks like my students don't have any missing assignments.  Just a bunch of zeroes. I'm afraid if I flag them as missing in IC, it'll just revert to a zero when Canvas syncs again.

My school relies heavily on missing assignment reports so this is messing us up!

There are a couple tools that may make your life eaiser!

First, you can set a missing submission policy at the gradebook level and have it apply to assignments once the due date passes!

I'm having the same issue, and my school uses PowerSchool Pro. For students who turn in work late, the "Late" flag is applied in PowerSchool, but for students who don't turn in work, I manually enter a 0 and leave a comment in Canvas. However, the only part the syncs to PowerSchool is the 0, and it does not show up with the "Missing" flag, which would be very helpful for our counselors in figuring out who needs to turn in work. (The "Exempt" flag also seems to sync with PowerSchool, but I don't remember if I manually added that to PS or not since it was earlier in the semester.)

The links provided don't help directly with this issue of the "Missing" flag not showing up in the gradebook outside of Canvas, and it would be very helpful if this could get fixed. I don't know if the "Late" flag shows up on Infinite Campus, but I hope that would be a relatively simple change to include other flags.

I have the same issue with Synergy.  It shows as missing on Canvas but goes to 0 on Synergy and does not count in the missing tally.  I have kids with multiple missing assignments in canvas but none of them in Synergy.
