[ARCHIVED] Module File Upload 'Enhancement'

Hi- l would like to hear more from others about the new module file upload 'enhancement' feature. Can we make this optional? Every time you add a new module it now prompts you to drop files into the module. This is not the pedagogy we recommend to our faculty and it promotes bad habits. Canvas modules are not simply a file repository.

I 100% agree! It really encourages just dumping files and we try to encourage staff to use Assignments so they can provide clear directions. They also don't collapse unless they have an item in them so if you create a number of Modules with no content, it fills up the screen very quickly.
