We've been having discussions lately about how to allow special ed teachers, coaches, and club sponsors to monitor the grades and assignments for their specific groups of students in Canvas. Do any of you have any advice for me? In our current SIS, they're able to click on a student's name to see that student's current grade in the full roster of his or her classes. They also have one place to go to check assignments.
megscott, there isn't a built in way to do this in Canvas, but Dropout Detective (paid third party solution) has this functionality (we've had it for a while and love it) OR a pretty easy script you could use that would provide this functionality (for free) - Re: Accessing all student grades...
The free solution might initially sound a little technical (and scary), but ultimately it all boils down to downloading GreaseMonkey (or Tamper Monkey) to your browser and then clicking on the script provided at the end of @James ' post. It literally took me less than a minute and it works like a charm!
PS - I'm also going to switch this over to a discussion (instead of a question) so we can continue the discussion and not need to worry about a right or wrong answer. ![]()
