What software is recommended for recording multiple cameras at the same time, and then importing these recordings into Camtasia as separate tracks?

I want to produce a multiple camera recording, similar to a news broadcast to better engage our students.

I'm not expert but you might take a look at OBS https://obsproject.com/   It's open source which is nice and free, and I know may people use it for green screen type of recordings and live broadcasting.  I don't know if it will do exactly what you are asking about in terms of two video feeds to produce and edit later, but it will do some neat stuff and can handle multiple video feeds to initially record.  I believe a lot of gamers use OBS for live streaming on systems like Twitch.
