My document files are downloaded as Adobe pdf files, and I noticed that the lettering is all squished together and almost unreadable. The files are fine when opened outside CANVAS from my computer's files. I'm using Firefox as a browser, and I realize Canvas prefers Chrome or Safari. I adjusted the font size, just in case, in Firefox preferences, but it hasn't changed the way the files are showing on screen. I'm hoping to use these files in my online learning, but now I may have to open them from my computer desktop to integrate through ZOOM. Has anyone else had to work through this issue?

The typeface on my student submitted documents is not "squished" but rather doubled, or tripled, and shifted slightly so text is unreadable. It's as though different fonts are superimposed on top of one another. This only just started in April 2020. I have had students submit assignments as pdfs within Canvas without any problems for two years.
I have this same issue. Anyone have a resolution?
My college's IT-Canvas expert shared with me that Canvas does not work as well in Firefox, which is what I am using. I have updated Firefox, and the problem seems to have gone away. Apparently Canvas prefers Safari and Chrome than Firefox. Oddly my problem went away nearly as fast as it occurred, so it makes me wonder if the problem may have been rectified by Canvas itself. Are you still having issues?
