[ARCHIVED] New LaTEX support in an Assignment

It looks like using the $$ x^2 $$ and $ x^2 $ will render nicely in some fields, but not in others.
For example, one of the most useful places to have this is when commenting ON a document. But the Point Annotations don't seem to render this as math, nor do the Freetext Annotations.

So pointing out a mistake inside of a document and explaining how to fix it seem to still have to happen in different locations.

Is this "Working as Intended" or just one of those bugs that comes with nice feature releases?
