[ARCHIVED] No quiz engine option

When i create a quiz i do not have a choose a quiz enigne option. So i also do not have settings that i can change to randomize and choose from a large question bank. why not?

Hello,  @steynh  Welcome to the Canvas Community! Users in accounts where New Quizzes have been enabled at the account level can enable New Quizzes in their courses, whereupon the modal to select a quiz engine will display upon initiating the quiz creation process. So first, check the Settings | Feature Options section of the course and enable New Quizzes if it displays there; if it does not, contact your local Canvas admin to ask how to get started with New Quizzes.

Turning to the second question: have you or the content creator for the course created question banks? Until question banks are populated with questions, there won't be anything to display. General instructions for using question banks in Old (Classic) Quizzes are in:

stefaniesanders‌ thank you very much. This was helpful, but I need to contact my local Canvas Admin.. Not sure how to find them, though. 

The institution that i am working or currently use another LMS.  But, now during lockdown all the activities you do on there gets added for marks for the students and i just want to send them quizzes to do to see if they understand the work.  I teach tax law to forth year law students.  It is tricky to say the least. So i have a huge question bank, that i imported to Canvas, but now i cannot do the "new quiz" settings so that it selects just say 20 questions for each section to send to the students.  

I don't know if i should upgrade to another package maybe?

 @steynh ‌, thanks for letting us know that you're using a Free For Teachers account. I took a look at your course and saw a question bank with the title RPLQUESTIONBANK2020 that contains 146 questions. You should be able to use question groups in Classic (Old) Quizzes so that the quiz selects 20 questions randomly from the bank: How do I create a quiz with a question group linked to a question bank?
