Is there a way to increase the size (number of characters) that can be entered in the NOTES in the Gradebook? I like to track data for students specifically email communications regarding failing grades.

Greetings! I know there isn't a way on the teacher or admin side of things to increase the character limit, so I'm guessing this is a Canvas restriction.
I think it's pretty cool what you are doing and one thing you might consider is creating an unpublished page for each student -- or one page for all this information -- and then put the link to this page in the Notes for that student (or students). You could do this as a page in Canvas or even a Google Sheet or something like that. That way the link to the information would be quickly/readily available.
Hope this helps! Kona

The limit of 255 characters makes this useless. The solution is that you have to use a very clumsy alternative that is useless.
