Once you publish something to commons, does this mean that it is open to the public?

Good evening,  @christyawill  Welcome to the Canvas Community.  Thanks for posting your question about Canvas Commons.  The answer to your question is "not necessarily".  Check out the following two Guides...as I think they will help to answer your question:
