[ARCHIVED] OneDrive embedded Word file assignments not keeping prior log entries in Canvas assignments

My students submit their OneDrive embedded assignments for a long term log they must maintain for the term. they start the submission with their first entry and submit, and everything is fine. Then when they go to submit their second entry, the previous entry is gone. Why is this happening, and how can I fix this? Any help will save a lot of headaches! Thank you!

Hello @kristian_elling ...

When students submit an assignment to you, they only see their most recent submission for the assignment in question.  Instructors, however, always see all submissions for a given assignment...no matter if it submitted once or 20 times.  Everything is time and date stamped for you.  Check out the section on "Evaluate Multiple Submissions" in the following Guide: How do I view the details of a submission for a st... - Canvas Community.  Unfortunately, there is nothing you can do on your end to allow students to see earlier submissions...as they only see the most recent submission in their view.
