I like the elementary theme but is there a way to override the navigation choices? I'd like to add something that the theme automatically hides, yet adding it to the navigation in settings doesn't make it visible in the student view. I like the font so I'm hesitant to disable the elementary theme. There doesn't seem like there is a way to change the font otherwise without getting into HTML. Thanks in advance!

@cpagan Welcome to the Canvas Community!
So far you've done everything correctly. I wonder if the reason the navigation link you enabled is not showing in Student View is because that link doesn't yet contain any content. If it doesn't, it won't display to students until some content has been added. You'll find that detailed in the section at the top of How do I manage Course Navigation links?
If that doesn't solve the problem, let us know so we can help you figure it out.

That makes sense! I also have not published any other page yet because we haven't been given the go-ahead by our admin...just trying to play around and familiarize myself. Once I add something and publish, I will definitely come back and let you know if it worked! Thank you for your help!
It worked! I added a test announcement and also published the site and it worked. Thank you so much!
I'm glad it worked, @cpagan , and thanks for coming back to let us know!
