If I change the name of a page is the data on previous views lost?

I have not had experience with your question directly. However, if you notice all assignments or pages or modules have a number that they are referenced by. I believe that changing the name will not affect anything with the assignment properties - i.e. statistics or submissions made. Also, I know that you can move files around in a folder layout in the course and it does not affect any links to those files.
So, my best guess is that the statistics will not be affected by a simple renaming of an assignment.

I checked it out and the data display in analytics under the old name is included with the new name.
