It would be so helpful to have reporting for permission settings, but at the very least I'd like a button on the permission screen that would extract the current table view, or both course and account table views for the current account, to a spreadsheet format. Even extracting to csv would be fine.
I'd like to get some feedback prior to submitting a feature request. It seems likely that this has been requested previously, but nothing came up when I did a search.
Thanks for your thoughts!

@kristin_bayless - Permission reporting by sub account would be a great feature to have in Canvas. I would love to see a report and a CSV function that would allow us to manage these. I have well over 100 sub accounts, each with different people and settings. Unfortunately there is no magic bullet and we do not use an API, we audit and update these manually. It is a very time consuming, cumbersome and bothersome method for all involved. In fact, because we cannot monitor and adjust these easily, it is a security risk as well. If you write a feature request, I will gladly support it.
Joe, thank you for your reply! We also have over 100 accounts and the permissions vary, so they can't be locked at the root level. The way the permissions page is set up now, a copy-paste into Excel doesn't work well. I'll post a link to the feature request in this discussion when it's ready.
@kristin_bayless this API call may be of some help:
This call will return a json object containing both course and account level permissions.
