[ARCHIVED] Problem submitting Assignments

I am having a problem in submitting my  using quercus. I go into modules, click on the module related to the assignment. However when it brings up the assignment page, there is no button on the right hand side allowing for submission of the assignment.  The following is what comes up 

   Tutorial 1 Reading Response
Due Tuesday by 4pm Points 2 Submitting a text entry box

Available Sep 18 at 12am - Sep 24 at 4pm 7 days
No Content

As you can see there is no way to submit my assignment.

If I go to Assignments directly, the page comes up completely empty.

However Quercus now indicates that my assignment was not submitted by the due date. So while it does not provide me with the ability to submit the assignment, it is able to tell me that I have not submitted the assignment.

How do I get this fixed?

Hi,  @keith_bullock  and a slightly belated  Welcome to the Canvas Community! It's hard to tell from the copy-pasted information, but it looks like the availability until date was September 24 at 4 PM, so if you were looking at this yesterday after 4 PM your time, the assignment would have been closed for further submissions and a Submit Assignment button would no longer display.

If you copied this text prior to 4 PM your time (when the assignment submittal window was still open), it's possible that clearing the browser cache or switching to a different browser would resolve the issue.

Your best course of action would be to communicate directly with the instructor, and the fastest way to do that is through the Canvas Inbox (How do I send a message to a user in a course in the Inbox as a student?‌)

Thanks for your note. Maybe I am not being clear.

The problem is that prior to the date the assignment is due when I go modules, click on the module for the assignment the page that comes up under assignments, does not provide me with any way to submit the completed assignment via quercus.

The page that comes up refers to the assignment, due date etc. but then indicates no content and does not provide a button on the right hand side, for submission of the assignment.

Therefore what I am trying to resolve is how to be able to submit my assignments via quercus.

Please note that the instructor is not able to help here

Hi,  @keith_bullock ‌, the link you provided is behind a school login screen, so the members of this forum would not be able to view it.

• What browser are you using to access the assignment?
• Have you tried another browser, and if you have, were the results the same? 
• Have you confirmed that the browser you're using is up to date (Canvas supports the two most recent versions of the browsers listed here)?

If clearing cache and switching to a different and up-to-date browser don't work, you'll need to have Canvas Support investigate (How do I get help with Canvas as a student?‌).

what i need is a simple way to get to tech support. When I go to help, it does not bring up the different help options, but brings me to the general canvas page. I see nowhere here for tech help.'

Is there a simple tech e-mail address that I can use to contact for help?

Hi,  @keith_bullock ‌, I was able to get some detailed information. First, you are definitely using an unsupported version of Safari. At this time Safari 12 and 13 are supported browser versions, and you are attempting to access your course materials through Safari 10.1. This is the most likely cause of the problem you're having.

Also, I was pointed to the support resources for "Quercus" on your school's help menu (you will find them by clicking on Help and then "Support Contacts"). I strongly suggest updating the browser to 12 or 13, or trying an up-to-date version of Chrome or Firefox first—but if you still need assistance, the specific email address that seems like the best recipient for your issue is q.help@utoronto.ca .
