How to I set course files, particularly proprietary audio and video files, as view only and disable downloads? (With the move of more proprietary content to digital access this has become a high priority for us!)
Good evening, @dianner ...
Happy New Year. I'm sorry to see that your question hasn't been answered since you first posted it in the Community back in June. I'm not sure I have a full answer for you, but have you considered setting the usages rights on files and folder within course "Files"? Might that, in some way, deter people from downloading the content that you don't want them to have?
Or, you might want to check out some of the information in this Guide: How do I restrict files and folders to students in... - Canvas Community.
I'm not sure if any of this will be helpful to you, but hopefully so. Sing out if you have any questions...thanks! Take care, stay safe, and be well.
