I submitted an assignment on time, then accidentally submitted it again a day late because i thought it had not submitted. How can i prove the date of the original submission

Not to worry!  Your instructor should have a complete log of each submission (date and time stamped) for the assignment you submitted (and then re-submitted).  From an instructor's point of view, here is a Guide that shows you how this might look to your instructor: How do I view the details of a submission for a st... - Canvas Community.  Specifically, check out the section on "Evaluate Multiple Submissions" about half-way down the page.  You, as a student, are only able to see the most recent submission...but I can assure you that your instructor would see all submissions from you for that assignment.

Thankyou for your help. I asked my teacher if this was the case and he responded saying he was only able to see my 2nd submission. He just put my grade in as late, im sure i will be able to have that corrected
