Does anyone know: if I'm using Puffin browser for flash on an android phone why suddenly my input was not recorded after it already had been working? thanks.

I have no idea, but I can say that Puffin is not a supported web browser for Canvas.  On a mobile device you'll have the best luck using the Canvas Student or Canvas Teacher app.  And if you need to access something that isn't working in those apps I'd suggest Chrome as a 2nd choice.
