[ARCHIVED] Quiz question types

I would like to create a quiz for my students. Is it possible to set up a quiz question in a way that students can decide whether to answer it by writing a paragraph or two in some provided box, or by uploading a pdf or jpg document? In other words, can I combine 'short-answer' style and 'file upload' style?

Questions can only be one type at a time.

The best way to do this is to make it an essay (short-answer) question as it allows what you're wanting to do and is better than a file upload question. You have to download file upload questions to take a look at them as you cannot preview them in SpeedGrader.

The essay question type gives them access to the Rich Content editor.

• They could type their paragraph of two.
• They could embed images within their post, but that only works with image files. 
• They could use the Google Drive LTI tool to allows access to their Google Drive for embedding documents from there. How do I create a hyperlink or embed a file from Google Drive into the Rich Content Editor as a stud... 
• They could use the Office 365 LTI tool that allows access to One Drive. Note that the One Drive integration allows you to link to a file, not embed it the way that Google Drive does, but this would be about the same as a file upload question. How do I create a hyperlink from Microsoft Office 365 in the Rich Content Editor as a student?
