[ARCHIVED] Random questions and fill in the blank paragraphs

In my Spanish classes, I occasionally like to do a fill-in-the-blank question, checking on student ability to use grammar appropriately in a paragraph. Since longer context is usually best for this sort of exercise, I have a multi-blank fill-in-the-blank question. I want these randomized and have been using test banks for this.

Since some questions are longer (and with more blanks) than others,

  • is there a way to place point values in a bank rather than in the test itself or failing this,
  • is there a way to assign partial points (like .1, .3, etc.) in a quiz? Every thing I've tried so far just resets a .3/1 to a 3/1 (which, of course, won't work).
