I have a class that has recurring assignments. For example, each week they have to turn in a summary of an article they've read in a publication.
Is there a way to create this as a recurring assignment? Create one assignment and have it repeat each week?
Thanks for your help.

Thanks for asking. I did find an answer. Canvas isn’t able to do this.
Thanks,

Hi @gwsawyer . If you haven't reviewed this post about using groups for student journaling, it may be worth a look (Using Groups to Allow for Journaling and Blogging). I envision here a discussion board for each student where every week they would post their article summary. You could see everyone's articles, but student's could not see each others which may or may not be what you would like.
@gwsawyer , if I can add to ericwerth's reply, you may be interested in knowing that an Assignment can be duplicated now in Canvas. (My apologies if you were already aware of this, but it was a fairly recent update.) Details are here: How do I duplicate an assignment? You will obviously have to edit a bit with due dates, etc., but it otherwise works like a charm. In fact, after duplicating them you can use @James Canvancement Adjust All Assignment Dates on One Page . For future reference, you may also want to take a look at some additional work that @don_bryn did to James' work here: https://community.canvaslms.com/people/don.bryn .
The link for how to duplicate assignments does not work for the comment from kblack on 11-9-2017
Were you able to find an answer to your question? I am going to go ahead and mark this question as answered because there hasn't been any more activity in a while so I assume that you have the information that you need. If you still have a question about this or if you have information that you would like to share with the community, by all means, please do come back and leave a comment. Also, if this question has been answered by one of the previous replies, please feel free to mark that answer as correct.

There is at least one other thread regarding the topic of recurring assignments. It has been requested, yet unheeded, by instructors for at least 8 years.
