Hello,
We have a course that we are creating that will have multiple sections -- all requiring different start/end dates. We would like to be able to set a start and end date per section and have the students lose access to the course at the end date set for their section. We don't want to have to create a new instance of the course for each section if at all possible.
So, I guess that's my question -- will a section end date allow us to stop course access for that group or is the only way around it to create a new instance of the course?

Hi Suzanne,
Section end dates override course and term end dates, so section-specific start and end dates should do what you want to do. There's a little more about how the different end dates work athttps://community.canvaslms.com/docs/DOC-15402-6795264211
