I want to open Canvas early to the students. But want to restrict one student from having access. Student did not progress on prior class. Is there a way to restrict only one student from visualizing class?
Thank you in advance!

Hi @ycota1 You might review the student status options in this document, Canvas Enrollment Status Comparison PDF and then speak to one of your Canvas admins or someone from your Registrar's Office to see if there is a preferred method for restricting access. We have a number of classes that are used for communication between particular groups of students, like resident assistants. When someone is no longer an RA I will normally, as an admin, deactivate them as a user in the course and then reactive them if needed later. This may be an option but there may already be a standard operating procedure for a situation like this at your institution.
I hope this helps and best wishes!
