We are a private university and have our own institutional learning outcomes and also program learning outcomes which determine our course learning outcomes. Does anyone have experience setting these up in Canvas? I know how to setup outcomes...but should we include our ILO's in Canvas or simply use our PLOs and course learning outcomes? I am not sure the best way to organize all of it.

Thanks for the help

I would build in all of the outcomes that are measured by student activities in your course. If that includes both PLOs and ILOs, then include both, but don't forget course level objectives and module level objectives.  You can also nest outcomes within groups, so if you have PLOs and ILOs measured by multiple course level or module level objectives, I would create groups labeled as those higher level objectives until you get down to the level that will actually be used in a rubric.  It is the use of outcomes in rubrics that creates feedback about the outcome.
