[ARCHIVED] 'Share desktop' option has no sound?

Hi,

I am a music theory / ear training teacher, and just had my first contact with Canvas conference function Big Blue Button.

In all other ways BBB seems to be an excellent conference tool, but the 'share desktop' option should include sharing the sounds as well. I could not find after several hours, so my guess is that this feature does not exist.

It is essential that my students can hear what they see simultaneously, e.g. when I write and edit music with notation software, they should be able to hear the sounds from it at the same time. For instance, Skype has this function, which I'm afraid is absolutely necessary for me. I hope this feature is added rather sooner than later, so that I can start using and promoting this otherwise excellent conference tool.

I do not have a lot of experience using Conferences (BigBlueButton), but I am going to tag  @ffdixon ‌ in my response in hopes that he might be able to address the audio issue you have mentioned.  I hope this will be of help to you, Esa.
