[ARCHIVED] Student Profile and Assigning a test to one student

I work with Chinese students. Most of them registered in Canvas using their student ID number. A few registered with their Chinese name and their student ID number. I don’t know what it looks like when they register. I need to assign a test to a student who registered with their Chinese name, but when I try to select this student by number the system cannot find him. I am unable to enter the Chinese name. What needs to happen?

I'm curious as to what is preventing you from assigning the student by name?  When you go to the assign to box of the assignment what limitation are you finding?
