[ARCHIVED] Student accounts merged in student app

I received an email asking if I wanted to merge my children’s accounts. Now when my daughter logs into her account it only shows my son’s name. How can I separate their accounts again?

Was the same email used to create both student accounts, or are you using one account for yourself to observe your children?

If one email was used to create both children's accounts, separating them is something that the Canvas Administrator at your school or district will need to help you with. 

If you used your account to observe both children, what do you experience with the blue Canvas Parent app?

Thank you for your response! I had set up the student accounts with separate email addresses. I received an email today asking me if I wanted to merge their accounts, which I did. Then I went to login to each of their accounts separately. The name on both canvas dashboards is only my son’s. The course information is mixed in together for both students but all under my son’s name. If I try to change to my daughter’s, it displays his name and the mixed course information. In the parent app, it shows the same thing, just my son’s name and then the mixed course information. Also, my daughter’s class roster shows my son’s name, not hers. I have reached out to the school district for help, but while I wait I wanted to see if I could fix it on my own somehow.
