I have a student attempting to submit an assignment through the Canvas Student app on their iOS phone. They take a picture of their document, but when they Click on Submit in the top right they get an error message saying "Failed upload" and a pop up that says "The specified resource does not exist." Their camera is set to Most Compatible so it will be a jpg. The app was also updated to the newest version. Why is the submission failing to go through? Thanks!
Hi @sbird123 -
Is the comment field blank when the student tries to turn in their file? If so, try adding a brief comment to see if it goes through. I've noticed some of my students doing the same (ie "here's my work")...and I wonder if there's a connection.
Let me know when you're able! We'll continue to collaborate. 🙂
I would also encourage you to check out the built-in document scanner for the Student app for iOS: https://community.canvaslms.com/t5/Canvas-Student-iOS-Guide/How-do-I-upload-a-file-as-an-assignment-...
Its possible students might have better luck with this.
